✨ System Enchantments – Minecraft Bedrock

Vanilla enchanting expanded with 19 new enchantments.

System Enchantments completely expands the Minecraft Bedrock enchanting experience with a custom Mysterious Enchantment Table, random enchantment offers, bookshelf power, Lapis Lazuli costs, special item effects and 19 custom enchantments.

Instead of simply selecting an enchantment from a list, the system now follows a much more vanilla-style progression where your bookshelf setup, experience level and random enchantment seed determine the offers you receive.

✨ How Enchanting Works
1️⃣ Place the Table Build your enchanting area around the Mysterious Enchantment Table.
2️⃣ Hold an Item Hold a supported item and interact with the table.
3️⃣ Item is Stored The real item is safely stored while a visual copy appears above the table.
4️⃣ Check Your Offers The table generates three random enchantment offers.
5️⃣ Pay XP + Lapis Meet the displayed level requirement and carry enough Lapis Lazuli.
6️⃣ Collect Your Item Enchant it and then take the finished item back from the table.
🔮 Three Random Offers

Each time an item is placed in the table you can choose between three enchantment offers.

The offers are based on your own personal enchantment seed. Simply closing and reopening the menu does not reroll the available enchantments.

Your seed changes after successfully enchanting an item.

Higher offer slots can also contain a bonus secondary enchantment.

📚 Bookshelves & Enchanting Power

The table detects up to 15 Bookshelves.

Supported bookshelf types:

  • Bookshelf
  • Chiseled Bookshelf
System Enchantments supported bookshelves

Bookshelves should be placed two blocks away from the table, leaving one clear air block between the table and the bookshelf.

Shelves can be positioned at the same height as the table or one block higher.

System Enchantments bookshelf placement

More active bookshelves increase the enchanting power, allowing stronger and rarer enchantments to enter the offer pool.

💎 XP & Lapis Costs

System Enchantments follows the same basic philosophy as the vanilla Enchantment Table: the displayed level requirement is not the amount of XP lost.

Offer Actual Level Cost Lapis Cost
Offer I 1 Level 1 Lapis Lazuli
Offer II 2 Levels 2 Lapis Lazuli
Offer III 3 Levels 3 Lapis Lazuli

For example, if the third offer says Requires Level 30, you must be level 30 or higher, but only 3 levels and 3 Lapis Lazuli are consumed after enchanting.

🔐 Safe Item Storage

Only one item can be placed on a table at a time.

The player who places the item owns that enchanting session until the item is removed.

Other players cannot take control of the table while another player's item is stored inside.

If the table is broken while an item is stored, the item is returned instead of being deleted.

Max I Legendary Most Supported Equipment

💎 Enchantment Rarity

Not every enchantment has the same chance of appearing.

System Enchantments uses different rarity levels:

  • Common — More accessible enchantments.
  • Uncommon — More specialized effects.
  • Rare — Powerful enchantments that require stronger enchanting setups.
  • Legendary — Extremely rare enchantments such as Eternal.

Increasing the number of valid bookshelves expands the available enchantment pool and allows stronger magic to appear.

🛡️ Smarter Equipment Effects

Passive enchantments such as Night Eyes, Health, Fire Immune, Agility and Jump only remain active while the correct enchanted equipment is being worn.

Removing that equipment removes the enchantment's effect immediately.

The system also handles compatible external potion effects carefully. When possible, an existing matching effect is preserved and restored instead of simply being lost when enchanted equipment is removed.

Anti Magic works differently because its purpose is specifically to remove supported negative effects.

🧩 Supported Equipment

The current enchanting system supports these equipment categories:

  • ⚔️ Swords
  • 🪓 Axes
  • ⛏️ Pickaxes
  • 🥄 Shovels
  • 🌱 Hoes
  • ⛑️ Helmets
  • 🛡️ Chestplates
  • 👖 Leggings
  • 🥾 Boots
  • 🪽 Elytra

🧩 Custom Addon Items

System Enchantments can also recognize compatible custom equipment from other addons when those items use recognizable tool or armor identifiers and support the custom data required by the enchanting system.

This allows many addon swords, pickaxes, axes, shovels, hoes and armor pieces to use System Enchantments too.

✅ Compatibility

🚫 No player.json

System Enchantments does not use player.json, making it much easier to combine with other addons.

🧩 Addon Equipment Support

Compatible custom tool and armor identifiers can be recognized by the enchanting system.

🌐 Translatable Interface

The current addon includes translated interface support for:

  • English
  • Spanish — Spain
  • Spanish — Mexico
