Faster Leaves makes naturally generated tree leaves decay much faster after you chop down the supporting logs. Unsupported leaves disappear progressively while Minecraft’s normal leaf drops remain available.

🌳 How It Works

After a vanilla log is broken, the addon checks the connected tree area. A leaf begins to decay when it is naturally generated, is no longer properly supported by a nearby log and belongs to the processed canopy.

🛡️ Your Builds Are Safer

The system is designed to distinguish natural leaves from persistent leaves placed by players. Decorative leaves used in houses, gardens, bushes and custom trees should remain in place. The addon also checks for valid nearby log support before removing a leaf.

🎁 Vanilla Drops

Faster Leaves does not simply delete leaf blocks. When supported by the block, it uses Minecraft’s vanilla loot behavior so normal rewards such as saplings, sticks and other applicable drops can continue to appear.

⚡ Performance-Friendly Processing

Tree canopies can contain many blocks. The addon processes leaves progressively and limits the distance and amount handled by one tree-cutting action, helping large trees decay more smoothly.

BeforeCut the logs, leave floating leaves, wait for natural decay and return later for drops.
With Faster LeavesCut the logs, watch unsupported natural leaves disappear, collect normal drops and continue exploring.

📦 Installation

  1. Download and import Faster Leaves.
  2. Activate the Behavior Pack in your world.
  3. Enter the world and chop down a vanilla tree normally.
