Definitive Tree Capitator speeds up wood gathering while keeping the survival experience customizable.

You can use the default settings for a simple Tree Capitator experience, or open the configuration book and control tree detection, tree families, chopping speed, durability, replanting, leaves, performance, custom blocks, custom tools and much more.

🆕 Latest Update — Block & Tool Rules

The latest update improves compatibility with custom trees and tools from other addons.

Block Rules lets you decide how Tree Capitator should treat specific blocks, while the improved Tool Rules now lets you select compatible items directly from your inventory.

🧱 Block Rules

Look directly at a block and choose how Definitive Tree Capitator should treat it.

You can register the selected block as:

  • Custom Log
  • Custom Leaf
  • Block Blacklist

This is useful for custom trees from other addons or for blocks that Tree Capitator cannot identify automatically.

Block Blacklist always has priority. A blacklisted block is ignored even if it would normally be supported or was previously registered as a custom log or leaf.

You can view saved entries, remove individual blocks or reset the entire Block Rules section.

🪓 Tool Rules

Tool Rules let you manually control which tools can or cannot activate Tree Capitator.

You no longer need to hold the tool in your main hand. When you open Tool Allowlist or Tool Blacklist, the addon shows compatible items found in your inventory.

Tree Types lets every player choose exactly which tree families are allowed to activate Definitive Tree Capitator.

Enable All and Disable All buttons are available if you do not want to change each tree individually.

A disabled tree type breaks normally and does not trigger Tree Capitator.

Tree Types also works with Connected Blocks, preventing disabled tree families from being included accidentally while another tree is being processed.

🌳 Tree Detection Modes

🌲 Smart Detection Recommended for normal survival. Uses stricter checks to identify natural trees and helps avoid accidentally destroying wooden builds.
🌳 Relaxed Detection Supports more log variants such as stripped logs and wood blocks while still keeping basic tree validation.
🧩 Connected Blocks Useful for large custom or addon trees. It follows compatible connected logs with fewer restrictions and respects Tree Types, Custom Logs, Custom Leaves and Block Blacklist.

Every player has their own Tree Capitator configuration. One player can use instant chopping, another can use progressive chopping, and another can disable the addon for themselves.

🌱 Automatic Replanting

Automatic Replanting can plant another sapling after a valid tree is chopped.

Large 2×2 trees are also supported as long as the player has the required saplings available.

🪓 Custom Axe Support

Definitive Tree Capitator can automatically recognize many axes and hatchets from other addons.

If a custom tool is not detected correctly:

  • Keep Auto-detect Custom Axes enabled for automatic support.
  • Add the tool to Tool Allowlist to force support.
  • Add the tool to Tool Blacklist to stop it from activating Tree Capitator.

The blacklist always has priority, including over vanilla axes.

🚀 Performance Modes

🟢 Safe Better for mobile devices, Realms and lower-end hardware.
🟡 Balanced Recommended for most players.
🔴 Fast Faster processing for stronger devices or smaller trees.

Tree processing is spread across game ticks to reduce large lag spikes while chopping bigger trees.

🌐 Language Support

Configuration menus, descriptions and addon information are localized using Minecraft language files.

The newest Tree Types, Block Rules and Tool Rules text is translated as well.

Each player has their own Tree Capitator statistics:

🌲 Trees Chopped Total number of trees processed.
🪵 Logs Destroyed Logs removed by Tree Capitator.
🍃 Leaves Destroyed Leaves removed while chopping trees.
🌱 Trees Replanted Trees successfully replanted automatically.
🏆 Largest Tree Chopped Keeps track of your biggest processed tree.
