No Crop Trampling protects Minecraft Bedrock farms from players and mobs that jump on farmland. When trampling turns farmland into dirt, the addon restores the farmland and the crop above it with its saved growth state.

It is a lightweight utility for survival bases, villages, multiplayer farms and Realms. Normal harvesting still works, while accidental trampling no longer destroys your planted crops.

Version 1.0.1
Built for Minecraft Bedrock 1.21.100 or newer. Only the Behavior Pack is required.

🆕 What Version 1.0 Does

This version fixes an item-duplication problem from the first release. When a crop is restored after trampling, the addon now removes the crop items created by that specific trampling event before restoring the saved crop state.

  • Restores farmland after it is trampled.
  • Restores the planted crop at its saved growth stage.
  • Removes crop drops created by the trampling event.
  • Prevents crop duplication caused by restoration.
  • Keeps manual harvesting and normal crop drops working.
  • Does not replace vanilla block files.

🌱 Supported Crops

🌾 Wheat Restores the crop and its saved growth state.
🥕 Carrots Protected from accidental farmland trampling.
🥔 Potatoes Normal manual harvesting remains available.
🔴 Beetroot Crop-related trample drops are removed before restoration.

🔧 How It Works

The addon watches farmland near active players and temporarily saves the crop planted above each block. If that farmland quickly changes into dirt because it was trampled, the Behavior Pack restores the farmland. If a supported crop was present, it restores the same crop permutation, including its growth stage.

Before restoration, the script checks the affected block for newly spawned crop-related item entities and removes only the matching wheat, seed, carrot, potato or beetroot drops. This keeps the anti-trampling repair from creating duplicate items.

Normal farming is preserved: breaking and harvesting crops manually still produces the usual drops. The addon reacts only to the short farmland-to-dirt transition associated with trampling.

🧪 Suggested Test

  1. Install and activate No Crop Trampling BP in a world.
  2. Plant wheat, carrots, potatoes or beetroot on farmland.
  3. Jump on the farmland several times.
  4. Confirm that the farmland and crop return with the same growth state.
  5. Check that duplicate crop items are not left on the ground.
  6. Harvest or break a crop manually and confirm that its normal drops still appear.
