Avatar Legends has arrived for Minecraft Bedrock Edition. Mojang's official feature describes an adventure inspired by Avatar: The Last Airbender in which players learn water, earth, fire and air techniques, search for elemental temples and work toward unlocking the Avatar State.

Confirmed: The add-on is available through Minecraft Marketplace and was highlighted by Mojang on October 16, 2026.

Four elements, twelve techniques

Each of the four elements has three learnable techniques. Mojang gives several concrete examples: an earth wall for defense and terrain control, water arms that act like grappling hooks, fire jets that provide jetpack-like movement, and a whirling air tornado used as a powerful attack.

Learning a technique can also provide a passive benefit connected to its element. The official article uses fire resistance as an example of a bonus earned through firebending mastery. This makes progression useful outside combat because new movement and survival tools can change how players explore ordinary Bedrock worlds.

Temples and Avatar Spirits

The adventure sends players across different biomes to locate elemental temples. Avatar Spirits found at those locations teach bending techniques, turning exploration into the central progression system rather than giving every ability immediately.

Temples also contain meditation points. Players can spend mastery points there to unlock additional techniques, and Mojang confirms that a personal meditation point can be crafted for easier access later. Abilities improve through a mixture of exploration, interaction and meditation.

How the Avatar State works

Before full mastery, the Avatar State can activate briefly when the player receives damage that would otherwise be fatal. After achieving balance and mastering the system, the player can gain practical invincibility and use stronger bending techniques without the normal limits described for earlier progression.

What remains unclear

Mojang's announcement explains the main progression loop and several techniques, but it does not provide a complete list of every recipe, exact damage value, supported multiplayer limit or device-specific performance target. Players should check the Marketplace listing inside Minecraft for the current price and device availability before purchasing.

Who is it for?

Avatar Legends is aimed at players who want a structured fantasy adventure inside Bedrock rather than a small utility pack. The combination of temples, quests, movement abilities and combat powers should be especially appealing to fans of exploration maps and character progression.
