🔱 NewTridents – Minecraft Bedrock

13 custom tridents with different damage, durability, charge speed and abilities.

NewTridents adds a new way to craft and use custom tridents in Minecraft Bedrock. Each trident has its own stats and special role, giving you more options for combat, mobility and survival.

The current version includes a custom Trident Table, an in-game Trident Guide, charged throws, Perfect Throw timing, real durability, personal settings and support for several familiar vanilla trident enchantments.

Every player receives a Trident Guide the first time they join the world.

The guide includes:

🧱 Trident Table

To craft the new tridents, first create the custom Trident Table.

The recipe requires:

1 Crafting Table
1 regular Minecraft Trident
Prismarine Shards

After placing the table, interact with it and search for "Trident" to view the available custom recipes.

⚡ Charged Throws

Hold the use button to charge your trident before releasing it. The longer you charge, the stronger the throw becomes.

During charging, the action bar shows:

Low Power
Medium Power
High Power
Perfect Throw
Fully Charged

✨ Perfect Throw

Release the trident at the correct moment to trigger a Perfect Throw.

A Perfect Throw gives the strongest launch and a small additional speed boost.

Waiting too long still gives a fully charged throw, but the Perfect Throw timing bonus is lost.

Gold Trident charges the fastest.
Redstone Trident is also very quick.
Obsidian Trident charges more slowly.
Netherite Trident also has a heavier, slower charge.

🪄 Enchantment Support

🔁 Loyalty

After impact, the trident returns to the player after a short delay. The returned item is the same trident that was thrown, preserving durability, enchantments and custom name.

🌊 Riptide

Riptide works while the player is in water. Instead of throwing normally, using the trident launches the player in the direction they are looking. Higher levels increase propulsion.

⚡ Channeling

During thunderstorms, a successful impact can summon lightning. Outside thunderstorms, the trident behaves normally.

🐟 Impaling

Impaling deals extra damage to targets that are in water. Higher levels increase the additional damage.

🛡️ Unbreaking

Unbreaking reduces how often throwing the trident consumes durability.

🧩 Other Enchantments

Mending and Curse of Vanishing work like normal Minecraft item enchantments.

⚙️ Personal Settings

Each player can configure their own NewTridents options independently.

Enable or disable special abilities
Enable or disable special effects against players
Allow or block TNT Trident block damage
Enable or disable Ender Trident teleport

TNT Trident block damage starts disabled to help prevent accidental destruction.

🔥 Blaze Trident

Damage: 11
Durability: 520

Burns the target for 5 seconds on hit.

⚡ Copper Trident

Damage: 6
Durability: 280

Builds storm charge on successful hits. On the third hit, lightning strikes where the trident lands and the charge resets.

💎 Diamond Trident

Damage: 10
Durability: 1520

A strong all-around trident with high durability and comfortable charge speed.

🌀 Ender Trident

Damage: 8
Durability: 450

Teleports the player to a safe position near the impact point. This can be disabled in Settings.

🏆 Gold Trident

Damage: 6
Durability: 250

The fastest-charging trident in the addon.

❄️ Ice Trident

Damage: 6
Durability: 310

Applies strong Slowness and Weakness on hit.

⛓️ Iron Trident

Damage: 9
Durability: 380

A simple and reliable combat trident.

🔷 Lapis Trident

Damage: 7
Durability: 300

Gives a small amount of XP when hitting a target.

🟫 Netherite Trident

Damage: 12
Durability: 2030

The strongest and most durable trident. It is fire resistant and is upgraded from the Diamond Trident with a Netherite Upgrade Template and Netherite Ingot.

⬛ Obsidian Trident

Damage: 11
Durability: 1810

A heavy, very durable trident that pushes enemies back on hit.

🔴 Redstone Trident

Damage: 8
Durability: 350

Gives the user a short Speed boost after hitting a target.

🟣 Shulker Trident

Damage: 10
Durability: 350

Briefly levitates targets on impact.

💥 TNT Trident

Damage: 9
Durability: 320

Creates an explosion when it hits a block or target. Block damage starts disabled and can be enabled from Settings.

🧪 Trident Recipes

Most custom tridents are crafted in the Trident Table using the material represented by the trident and sticks.

The Netherite Trident is upgraded from the Diamond Trident in the Smithing Table using a Netherite Upgrade Smithing Template, Diamond Trident and Netherite Ingot.
